Model: Escape Series – Reality – Rig Model C1600

Size: Mid–size, 4,300 cubic inches (also available in x–small, small and large)

Color: Red/Black

Price: $220

Fit:

  • Hip straps hold the weight like they should, and pack is comfortable, but not any more than it is required to be. It's very light, but then again, you shouldn't be carrying very much anyway, right? Its compact feel and look is better for the traveler just starting out. Good bag for a weekend hiking trip, ski trip or even a quick jaunt to Cancun. Foam back is not much more than just foam. It will adapt well to the form of the body, at least for a year or so.

Special Features:

  • It's filled with mesh, making it really the best and most heavily used part of the bag. There are also several easily accessible mesh storage spaces that cinch up, and a floating mesh pocket to keep wet clothes in. It is also equipped with ski stabilizer loops and plastic handles. The extra long straps are an added plus that make it easy to tie off any towels or sleeping bags. A transparent window in a special inside pocket to see contents without opening it. If you're with this bag in the rain, better have your clothes in plastic bags of their own.
What it should have:

  • Other ways to put stuff in the bag. Top loading packs can be frustrating when trying to reach items at the bottom.. It should also have pockets on the side that close with a zipper.
Style:

  • That's where all the money went. The mesh makes it a real eye catcher. So is the deep red/black contrast against the silver reflector straps. It might be better suited for the runway in Milan, rather than the Italian Alps.
